COMMUNITY ARTS COORDINATOR
- $22/hour
- 35 hours/week
- 8 week contract
- Start date: June 29th, 2026
Title description: Develop and lead projects that engage people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Work with the Artistic Director to develop, coordinate, and deliver community-engaged arts projects and activities in the Ryan Heights Neighbourhood
Liaise with community partners, artists, and stakeholders
Oversee staff and volunteers to ensure a safe, respectful and welcoming space
Act as an onsite point of contact for staff, volunteers, and participants
Travel and transport supplies for offsite programming (Valid G class license and access to own vehicle required)
Assist in the documentation and dissemination of projects and activities
Assist in project evaluation and workspace(s)
Maintain studio/office and workspaces
Attend staff meetings as needed
Other related tasks and duties
EVENT COORDINATOR
- $22/hour
- 35 hours/week
- 8 week contract
- Start date: June 29th, 2026
Title description: Coordinate a two-day celebratory community event that engages people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
Tasks & responsibilities:
Work with the Artistic Director and Community Outreach Coordinator to develop, plan, and co-ordinate a two-day community celebration
Collaborate with artists, partners, and community members
Coordinate with venues, caterers, print shops, artists and volunteers
Design promotional materials including social media graphics, posters, newsletters, and digital campaigns
Act as an onsite point of contact for staff, volunteers, and attendees
Oversee staff and volunteers to ensure a safe, respectful and welcoming space
Assist in dissemination of projects and activities
Assist in grant reports post event
Maintain studio/office and workspaces
Attend staff meetings as needed
Other related tasks and duties
HOW TO APPLY
Applicants must be highly motivated, have a background in the arts or a strong interest in social issues, and be able to work as a team member with minimal supervision. Black, Indigenous, and racialized folks, and members of the 2SLGTBQIA+ community are encouraged to apply.
As per our funder’s requirements, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Is between the ages of 15 to 30 (inclusive) at the time of employment
Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
Is not currently employed by another Canada Summer Job-funded position
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
