Community Arts Coordinator

DETAILS:

  • $20/hr

  • 35hrs/week

  • 8-week contract

  • Start date: June 30th, 2025

OVERVIEW

Develop and lead projects that engage people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

TASKS & RESPONSILITIES:

  • Work with the Artistic Director to develop, coordinate, and deliver community-engaged arts projects and activities

  • Liaise with community partners, artists, and stakeholders

  • Oversee staff and volunteers to ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming space

  • Act as an onsite point of contact for staff, volunteers, and participants

  • Travel and transport supplies for offsite programming (Valid G class license and access to own vehicle is required)

  • Assist in the documentation and dissemination of projects and activities

  • Assist in project evaluation and data collection

  • Maintain studio/office and workspace(s)

  • Attend staff meetings as needed

  • Other related tasks and duties

HOW TO APPLY:

Applicants must be highly motivated, have a background in the arts or strong interest in social issues, and be able to work as a team member with minimal supervision. Black, Indigenous, and racialized folks, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community are encouraged to apply.

As per our funder’s requirements, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Is between the ages of 15 and 30 (inclusive) at time of employment

  • Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

  • Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
