We’'ll be kicking Myths Mania off with the closing reception of our retrospective exhibition, Art for All(ways):30 Years of Myths and Mirrors. Light refreshments will be provided at no cost. No ticket is required to attend the reception.

ee portal - 6:00PM at the Art Gallery of Sudbury’s Project Space (170 Elgin St.)

“Multidisciplinary collective ee portal (Elyse & Emilio Portal) has been creating ecopoetic installations, new media works and performances since 2011. Their methods of working are based in fluid, spontaneous and vulnerable actions that encompass philosophy, poetry, spirituality, ecology, performance, sound, video, sculpture, painting and craft. They often employ a large old smoky canvas, naturally extracted plant dyes and fibres, cryptic field recordings, feedback loops and alternative energy sources. They are currently working on an extended art book, sounds are pigments are places, that was recently funded by a multi-year composite grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, and will be released by flask publishing. Beyond the studio, they enjoy playing with their son, Teo Sol, their greatest work of art.”

The exhibition, curated by former Artistic Director Cora-Rae Silk and artist/academic/activist Ra’anaa Yaminah Ekundayo, is open to the public from July 16th to September 12th. Stop by the gallery to check the exhibit out before it closes!
