25 Years

This year, we celebrate 25 years of building community through art. We’ve certainly come a long way since our humble beginnings as a three-year project sponsored by Better Beginnings, Better Futures, making us one of the longest-running community arts organizations in the country. Since 1996, we’ve been providing unique opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience and take part in the arts outside of mainstream settings, engaging thousands of residents in the creation of everything from murals and giant puppets, to multi-media theatre and collaborative soundscapes.

Throughout this year, we’ll be looking back and sharing some of our favourite past projects on Facebook and Instagramand we want to hear from you too! Join the celebration by sharing your Myths and Mirrors stories, memories, photos, and artwork using the hashtag #myths25 or by emailing us at mythsandmirrors@gmail.com.

You can learn more about our history here or by browsing our past projects and photos. This work would not be possible without the hard work, dedication, and vision of previous Artistic Directors, staff, and artists, or without the support and love of our community. Miigwetch, merci, thank you!
